Meanwhile, the Society developed SOUK Project, aiming to provide affordable housing with good quality for service users, to enhance their life skills in the co-living period and eventually leading to independent living. With provision of flats in rent lower than market price by conscientious landowners, our Society operated a SOUK unit in Yau Ma Tei and provided accommodation for eight single males in July 2017. In January 2018, the Society started another SOUK unit in San Po Kong, providing transitional housing to two single mothers who have housing and financial needs. Under the cooperation with Clinical Psychologist and Court Social Work Service, our centre ran therapeutic groups for those affected by repetitive stealing behavior and committed sex-related offence respectively for the third year. The aims of the groups were to facilitate the members to build up mutual support network in rehabilitation. In order to promote positive leisure management and rebuild perseverance, service users of different age groups were encouraged to participate in various kinds of outdoor activities such as hiking, canoeing, running and gym. Kowloon West Club House organised social gatherings and recreational activities for our service users regularly to enhance their leisure management. Rehabilitated service users were trained as peer supporter trainees who assisted in organising activities for other service users. New Territories East Social Service Centre (NTESSC) (now known as New Territories Integrated Service Centre for Social Rehabilitation & Community Support – Tai Po Revival Hub) “Body-Mind-Spirit” was the main theme for NTESSC programmes last year. Three groups were organised to facilitate the rehabilitation of ex- offenders at different stages. “Doodle Doll Project: Be my Protector” had operated for four years. Last year, our service target group has expanded to children with Special Education Needs (SEN). This project aimed to benefit children with different needs and the project has become a regular and core activity. 同時,本會發展「甦屋計劃」,為服務使用者提供 可負擔而有質素的房屋選擇,並讓他們在共住 期間培訓生活技能,將來自力更生。本會與樂 於助人的業主合作,以相宜的租金,於二零一 七年七月在油麻地建立一個甦屋單位,供 8 名單 身男性入住。另外,本會於二零一八年一月,建 立一所在新蒲崗的甦屋,為兩個有住屋及經濟 困難、需照顧子女之女性更生人士及其家庭, 提供過渡住屋服務。 本中心已第三年與心理學家及法院社工服務合 作,分別為受重複盜竊及性行為困擾之人士, 提供治療小組及支援服務,協助他們跳出困局, 與同路人建立一個互相支援群體,一起走上康 復之路。本中心鼓勵不同年齡之服務對象一起 參加各類有益身心活動,如山藝、獨木舟、跑 步及健身等,除了培養正面嗜好外,亦鍛練他 們的意志和毅力。 九龍西俱樂部定期為服務使用者提供社交聚會 及各類消閒活動,推動他們善用餘閒。期間亦 培訓合適的更生人士成為實習朋輩輔導員,協 助推行俱樂部的活動。 新界東社會服務中心(現稱:新界社會康復 及支援綜合服務中心 – 埔康匯) 新界東社會服務中心以身心靈為服務核心,為 不同的服務使用者,透過不同性質的小組活動 融入社會,重新建構他們的生命。「守護者實現 計劃」已踏入第四年,為了讓更多不同需要的兒 童受惠,去年服務的對象擴展至有特殊學習需 要的兒童;這個服務現已發展到成熟階段,亦成 為本中心恆常化的核心活動。 甦屋計劃開幕禮暨開放日於二零一七年七月十一日舉辦。 SOUK Housing Project Opening Ceremony cum Open Day was held on 11th July 2017. 中心為服務使用者舉辦健身班。 KWSSC organised gym class for service users. | 42 |
