Last year, “Our feet have stories” project has established ‘NTESSC running team’ to help on promoting wellbeing. Each of the service users believed that their feet were the best storyteller for their future. The team members put great effort to complete the training and finally they fulfilled the goal of joining the local running competition. The ‘NTESSC running team’ would be kept in the long run and to enrich the lives of users. Besides, elderly activities were organised by social workers for the elderly group. Our elderly service users produced their autobiographies to review their life stories with positive attitude and were grateful to the past experience in their lives. New Territories West Social Service Centre (NTWSSC) (now known as New Territories Integrated Service Centre for Social Rehabilitation & Community Support – Kin Sang Revival Hub) NTWSSC organised diversified activities to broaden the horizons of our service users and facilitated them to integrate into the society. The establishment of the “Leisure Garden” has provided different opportunities and activities for our service users. Last year, activities such as visiting Ngong Ping 360, Ocean Park, and singing karaoke were organised, offering the opportunities for users to get in touch with the natural environment and to enhance their leisure time management. In addition, we developed volunteer services to encourage users to change their role from receiver to giver. Last year, we cooperated with Tuen Mun Hospital to arrange our service users to visit patients and send greetings to them. They learned to concern the people and issues that happening around them through voluntary service. They also actively participated in agency events and offered their support to the Society. Some users joined the “SRACP Charity Walk & Run x So HOT Carnival” and a strong sense of belonging to the Society was built. 去年，「用雙腳來說故事」的一群在新東冒起的新 晉長跑員 – 「新東跑友」，以行動推廣健康。當中 每一個隊員都懷著一個信念，希望用雙腳為未 來的人生創作另一個精彩的故事。隊友們努力 參與訓練，並最終達致參加本地跑步比賽的目 標。「新東跑友」仍會繼續舉辦，從而令服務使 用者豐盛的生命故事得以延續下去。此外，社 工為年長的服務使用者舉辦小組活動，引導他 們懷著感恩的正面態度，用文字記下自己過去 所經歷的一切，活動深受服務使用者的歡迎。 新界西社會服務中心（現稱：新界社會康復 及支援綜合服務中心 – 建康匯） 新界西社會服務中心透過多元化的活動，協助 服務使用者擴闊眼界，融入社群。「悠閒花園」的 成立，為服務使用者提供不同的活動機會。去年 社工帶領服務使用者暢遊昂坪 360 和海洋公園， 亦舉辦卡拉 OK 等活動，讓服務使用者親親大自 然，同時增強閒時生活的管理。此外，中心亦 拓展義工服務，讓服務使用者助己助人，感受 施與受身份的逆轉。去年本中心與屯門醫院合 作，安排服務使用者探訪醫院內病患的朋友， 為他們送上關心和問候，活動有助服務使用者 學習關心身邊不同的人和事。另外，服務使用 者亦積極參與及支持會方的活動，去年社工安 排他們參與「甦 Walk 慈善行．跑步賽 x So Hot 嘉 年華」活動，增加他們對本會的歸屬感。 「守護者」製作團隊於送贈活動中與小朋友交流。 The production team of “Doodle Doll Project“ visited the children in need. 小朋友與製作者合照並感謝其付出。 The child thanked the producer and they took photo with the puppet. 義工用心為屯門醫院病人製作愛心禮物。 The volunteers prepared handmade gifts for the patients in Tuen Mun Hospital. 服務使用者化身為參賽者，而其他人則為他打氣。 Our service users participated as contestants and they were encouraged by others. | 43 |
