CLAP@JC is a ten-year Trust-Initiated project funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. Phase II of the project commenced in September 2020, seeking to inspire the society to celebrate possibilities and embrace youth’s potential by a career and life development (CLD) intervention model.

 

The Society of Rehabilitation and Crime Prevention, Hong Kong (SRACP) aims at creating a society with compassion and harmony that provides career and life planning service with our employer network and training resources to targeted youth who can engage in meaningful development and social connection.

Service Objectives

  1. To enhance youth’s career development by Expanded Notion of Work (ENOW)*
  2. To promote multiple pathways for youth to develop their potential
  3. To promote career and life development (CLD) lens in public, and to establish a cross-sectoral collaboration platform and support network for youth.

 

*ENOW -Work can be defined as employment, voluntary work and unpaid work

Service Users:

Aged below 29 who have need in career and life planning
(Including youth seeking education and employment, institutional youth and young ex-offender) 

Service Content

Case Follow-up, Group Activity, Training, Volunteer Service, Mentor Matching, One-stop Job Tasting Programme

 

Young Worker and Teachers: The project enhances the exploration of further study and career development with youth and encourage students’ involvement in life and study.
Employers: You will recruit suitable talented young employees sharing similar values with your company in order to avoid talent loss and increase business efficiency.
Parents: You can build up a mutual understanding with your children and become a supportive resource for them in career and life exploration
Participants: Your dream is not just a fantasy. Through our cross-sectoral supporting

  • Set priority for a personalized work-life mix

Service Application

  • Social worker/Teachers/Parents can contact our social workers for case referral
  • Employers are welcomed to join us as our partners to provide more opportunities to youth, and build a society with hope and care together

Service Withdrawal

The service is provided on a voluntary basis. Service users may terminate service voluntarily at any juncture of the service process. Service can be terminated upon worker's professional judgment and mutual agreement made with the service users.
