The 68th Annual General Meeting of SideBySide has been successfully held. The recent tragic fire at Wang Fuk Court has deeply saddened the entire Hong Kong community. All members of SideBySide extend our heartfelt condolences to all those affected and mourn the loss of lives. We stand with the community and are committed to moving forward together.
Marking 68 years of dedicated service to society, this meeting saw the successful election of a new leadership team, including the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Executive Committee members, and various key committee members. This renewal injects fresh momentum into the future development and innovation of our services.
We express our sincere gratitude to our Guest of Honour, Mr. To Wing-hang, Chris, JP, Director of Social Welfare, for his presence and guidance. We also extend our thanks to our Patron, The Hon. Chief Justice Andrew CHEUNG, GBM, Acting Deputy Commissioner (Rehabilitation and Management) Mr. Tong Soen, our Vice President, Mr. Patrick LI Hon-leung, Chairpersion of Executive Committee, The Hon. Mr. Justice POON Siu-tung, all committee members, partners, and colleagues for their steadfast support.
The steady progress and expansion of SideBySide's services over the past year are indebted to the professional dedication and selfless contributions of our staff. During the meeting, the "Outstanding Programme & Staff Awards" and "Long Service Awards" were presented to recognize exceptional colleagues. We extend our warmest congratulations to all awardees.
Looking ahead, we remain steadfast in our founding mission. We will actively develop more diversified, appropriate, and impactful services to meet the evolving needs of society. We look forward to continued collaboration with all sectors to jointly foster a more inclusive and harmonious community.
