Affected by the spreading of the COVID-19 in Hong Kong, the disadvantaged group’s livelihoods are under pressure, especially for the rehabilitated persons. Interviewed by HK01, Roy (employee of Bright Service Company Limited – BS) shared the difficulties he encountered under the coronavirus - many events and exhibitions were cancelled since Lunar New Year, which severely affected his income. He is worried that rehabilitated people have fewer opportunities to be employed in the market. Being a social enterprise established by SRACP, BS try to coordinate a short-term positions for Roy, such as driver and porter to tackle the urgent problem. The general market, however, is difficult to recover in no time, the social enterprise itself is facing rigorous challenges, how can BS survive from this unprecedented situation?
