We provide short-term rental assistance (SRA) for newly discharged prisoners who are not receiving hostel service or Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) to rent private cubicles or non-SRACP hostel spaces for not more than two months.

Service Objective
To meet the immediate accommodation needs of newly discharged prisoners who have genuine hardship to settle rental expenses.

Scope of Service
- Provide maximum rental assistance for two consecutive months.
- The amount of rental allowance will be reference to CSSA Scheme.

Service Hours
Refer to service hours of Integrated Service Centre for Social Rehabilitation & Community Support (ISC)
Service Application
- Service users could obtain the service through direct application at ISCs or referral by other organizations.
- Service user should bring along his HK Identity Card and Certificate of Imprisonment issued by CSD.
- Social worker will interview the applicant to assess his eligibility.
Service Withdrawal
The service is provided on a voluntary basis. Service can be terminated upon worker's professional judgment and mutual agreement made with the service users. Service users may terminate service voluntarily at any juncture of the service process.
